Dear Mr. Tax Man/Woman:

I work hard for my money. I really do. Okay, I could work harder, if I had more work to do, but that is SO not the point. I take care of four kids. I only HAVE to take care of two, cause the other two are of age, but as a mother that is my choice. I pay for my house, my car, my groceries, clothes, gifts; and I give to United Way and instead of having garage sales, I donate everything to the Salvation Army. I'm a good person. I don't break laws. But really, you are pushing me a little too hard.

I get my paycheck and see all the money you take from me. It's my money. I worked for it. But hey, I understand that in order to continue to live in the wonderful country that I do, I have to make sacrifices so I try to over look it.

I buy groceries, I have to pay taxes. Again, I'm lucky I can go to a store and buy whatever food I happen to want, because I make good money.

I buy clothes, and I have to pay taxes. Again, I try to understand.

I buy a car, furniture, plants, mulch, pressure washer, weed eater, leaf blower, tools, tool box, paint, etc. Why I have to pay taxes on this crap really starts to make me wonder. I mean, there are still pot holes. There is still garbage on the sides of the roads. The jails are still over crowded. The schools are over crowded. Where is all this tax money going? Teachers, police and firemen/women are drastically under paid. If my money were going to them, I could understand.

And then, you still want more of my money. Are all the taxes I give you throughout the year just not enough? Have you turned into a greedy money monger? Oh, that's right, you have always been that way. But never, NEVER have I ever had to pay you AGAIN at the end of the year.

Due to my hard work, I got a raise. My husband also received a raise. So, because we work hard, and earn our money, you decide to take a piece of our good fortune by raising our taxes! So not only have you made a crap load of money off me throughout the year, I must now shell out another $1,023 because of my great work ethics of actually making a decent income!

You should be ashamed of yourself. Or, at the very least, put MY money to good use. But be warned, in the furture, I plan to never EVER have to pay you to take my money again. I will find loop holes, and I will raise my 401K contribution. I wish I could tell you to not expect any more hand outs from me, but being the realistic person I am, I'm sure you just wouldn't understand. Therefore, consider this a gift. A gift you will never see again (not from me anyway). I've had enough of you stealing my money and putting it to no good use that I can see.
